Gallagher Command Centre v9.40: Smarter, Scalable, and Built for What’s Next

Gallagher Security has released Command Centre v9.40, delivering major enhancements that strengthen scalability, performance, and proactive system management across the Controller 7000 product range. This update reinforces Gallagher’s commitment to future-ready access control for complex, high-density and multi-site environments.

As a long-standing Gallagher Channel Partner and Certified System Integrator, Ruswin supports organisations across Queensland and beyond with expert upgrades, system optimisation and ongoing lifecycle support.

What’s New in Command Centre v9.40

Command Centre v9.40 introduces powerful new capabilities designed to reduce infrastructure costs, simplify architecture and support larger, more demanding security environments.

Unlock More Doors with Fewer Controllers

With v9.40, the Controller 7000 (Standard, Enhanced and High Security variants) now supports optional expansion up to 24 doors per controller, more than doubling the previous 10-door limit.

Benefits include:

  • Reduced controller count and infrastructure costs
  • Simplified system design for large facilities
  • Maintained high performance and fast access response, even at full capacity

This enhancement makes v9.40 ideal for stadiums, hospitals, universities, mining operations, logistics hubs and large commercial sites.

Expanded Reader & Network Capacity

To support larger and more complex deployments, v9.40 increases supported device limits:

  • HBUS readers: from 20 to 40
  • OSDP readers: from 16 to 32
  • Inter-controller communications: from 60 to 100

These improvements allow organisations to scale securely without compromising system responsiveness or manageability.

Proactive Maintenance with Lock Cycle Counting

Command Centre v9.40 introduces Lock Cycle Counting, a feature designed to support predictive maintenance strategies.

By tracking lock usage over time, organisations can:

  • Identify wear before failures occur
  • Reduce after-hours callouts
  • Plan maintenance and replacements proactively
  • Extend the life of locking hardware

This is a major step forward for sites where uptime, safety and operational continuity are critical.

Microsoft Entra ID Single Sign-On Integration

Also new in v9.40 is Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) single sign-on, using OpenID Connect.

This integration allows organisations to:

  • Align with cloud-first identity strategies
  • Reduce reliance on legacy Active Directory infrastructure
  • Leverage multi-factor authentication and conditional access policies
  • Simplify user management across systems

The result is stronger security, smoother identity management and easier migration to modern IT environments.

Built for the Future with Controller 7000

Command Centre v9.40 continues to showcase the strength of the Controller 7000 platform, purpose-built for modern, scalable and high-security deployments. When combined with cloud-ready architecture and advanced system intelligence, Controller 7000 provides a clear upgrade path for organisations moving away from legacy hardware.
