Everyone has the right to safety and a life without fear. The personal safety information and advice offered by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) aims to maximise the safety and enhance the quality of life of everyone.
A suite of programs have been developed to preserve the safety of children, youth and adults. The programs aim to provide:
- an awareness of safety risks for each target group
- practical strategies to reduce the risk of becoming a victim and
- advice to respond effectively to various safety threats.
The QPS also provides free personal safety awareness workshops to all members of the community. A range of personal safety resources including brochures and fact sheets are also available from police stations.
