Ruswin Townsville are located at 54 Charters Towers Road.
The original building was constructed in the 1930's and occupied by R.C. Schrock and Sons.
On the 26th of June 1948, they were awarded a contract at the Charter Towers Hospital to build at a cost of £116.187. The Health Minister at the time, (Mr Jones) said the work would include a new administration block, re modelling of the main hospital building and additions to the nursers' quarters. The present hospital had not changed since the old mining days 40 years ago and was in a poor state of repair. In addition to Charters Towers it served a large area of the north-west. Mr. Jones said a tender of £17.300 had also been accepted for preparing the site of the new mental hospital at Charters Towers .
