Sexual assault charges, Mount Isa
Mount Isa police have charged an 18-year-old man in relation to the sexual assault of a woman in Mount Isa yesterday morning.
It will be alleged the man has followed a 33-year-old woman along Grace Street before he sexually assaulted her in a vacant block on Railway Avenue.
It will be further alleged a passer-by has heard the woman screaming and has stopped to render assistance. The man then fled the scene.
The woman received treatment for minor injuries.
