CLOSURE OF TELSTRA AND OPTUS 2G CELLULAR NETWORKS

The Telstra and Optus 2G Networks are soon to be taken offline.

Due to the 2G Networks being decommissioned, any alarm system utilising the 2G Network will cease to communicate to Dedicated Monitoring Centre (DMC) on 1st December 2016 (Telstra) and 1st April 2017 (Optus).

As the time is fast approaching, the spectrum harvesting will alter the performance of 2G hardware.  Some 2G products in the field today are already experiencing connectivity issues and many areas are seeing reduced capacity in the 2G network.

UPGRADE TO 3G PERMACONN

We are currently reviewing Ruswin alarm systems and monitoring accounts. To assist in the continued operation of  a 2G supported alarm, Ruswin can provide a new 3G Permaconn unit at discounted rates, which will enable your alarm to send signals to the DMC control room via the current 3G/4G Networks now and into the future after the 2G network ceases to exist.

To make this transition as smooth as possible for all existing customers, call Ruswin today so we can provide a quote for the upgrade of your service.
